Local Coalition Hosts Free Movie & Presentation

Sauk County, Wis. - Looking for ways to address teen alcohol and vape use in the digital age? The Sauk County Partnership for Prevention, a local substance use prevention coalition, is hosting a free showing of Screenagers: Under the Influence and short presentation.

“Everyone is invited, especially parents and caregivers of school-age youth and teens in grades 9 or higher,” says Kate Stough, coalition facilitator. “Come watch chapters from the movie and hear examples from actual teens about their experiences with alcohol and vaping. You can learn about what coalitions are doing in Sauk County to reduce teen alcohol and vape use.”

Sauk County households can receive $20 in gas cards after completing a post-event survey, one per household while supplies last.

Screenagers: Under the Influence discusses teen use of alcohol and vapes in the digital age. The film corrects myths and shows strategies parents and caregivers can use to encourage healthy decision-making, support teen mental health, set limits, and create healthy home environments. This is the third film directed and produced by Delaney Ruston, primary care physician and documentary filmmaker.
