Transportation Program updates - attention please!

The Aging & Disability Resource Center of Sauk County (ADRC) is increasing costs to two Transportation Programs as of January 1, 2024. Due to increased fares from the Baraboo Taxi Company, the ADRC will charge $20 per punch card as of 1/1/2024. The West Baraboo supplemental cards will remain unchanged. Additionally, the new cost for the Fun-Day Travels will be $8 and cost for the Shopping Bus will be $5 as of January 1, 2024.

Your Ideas are Needed!

The Aging Unit is required to provide an Aging Plan every 3 years. Let's hear your thoughts and ideas to help us improve programs and services for the residents of Sauk County as they age. Answers will help us develop our next 3-Year Aging Plan (2025-2027). Find a hard copy of the '2025-2027 Survey' below (print, complete and mail to the ADRC - 505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI 53913) or click on the link HERE.

Live Life on Your Terms

The ADRC of Sauk County is one of 14 ADRCs awarded grant money through the Independent Living Supports Pilot. This funding, part of the American Rescue Plan Act, will be used to increase Sauk County residents’ ability to stay in their homes for as long as possible. It will be available through 2024 and can be provided to up to 279 individuals in the county.

Information and Assistance is a professional service provided by Aging and Disability Resource Centers.  Aging and Disability Specialists provide the general public unbiased information and referrals about services, resources and programs.  This information can be obtained by emailing, calling, stopping into the ADRC office and/or through a home visit.

The ADRC has several resources to offer people living with dementia, their caregivers, local businesses and organizations, and community members. The ADRC transportation unit is committed to providing individuals age 60 and older and adults with disabilities with affordable transportation options through the Taxi Subsidy Program, Volunteer Driver Escort Program, and Fun-Day Travels.
