Monday, September 7: ADRC Office Closed

Tuesday, September 8 -  October 13: Join the ADRC for our Powerful Tools for Caregivers workshop. Powerful Tools is an evidence-based educational program designed to help family caregivers take care of themselves while caring for a relative or friend. The workshop will be held at the Spring Green Community Center from September 8 - October 13 from 2-3:30pm. There is a suggested donation of $20. Tuesday, September 15: I'm Turning 65/Retiring - Now What?: This workshop is for people considering retirement, turning 65 or reaching full retirement age. Join Elder Benefit Specialists at Maplewood (245 Sycamore St, Sauk City) at 4:30pm for the session. Pre-registration is required: (608)355-3289. 

Wednesday, October 14: Dementia Live; An interactive experience letting caregivers and community members experience a sampling of what it is like to live with dementia. This event will be held at the Frank Fischer Senior Center on Wednesday, October 14 from 8:30am - 12:00pm. Call Kurt at the ADRC to reserve your 45-minute slot today! (608)355-3289

Medicare Open Enrollment: October 15 - December 7; The ADRC will be offering in-person Medicare Open Enrollment clinics in Baraboo where we can help you review your plan options. Phone appointments will also be offered. To reserve your spot, fill out the forms completely (found here), sign and return them to the ADRC. Appointments will be made once we receive your form. One form per person. 

Saturday, November 14: 8th Annual Caregiver Boot Camp; Join the ADRC for a free educational "survival" program for families coping with Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias. The program will be held at the Reedsburg Public Library on Saturday, November 14 from 9:30am - 2:30pm. The agenda includes: Dementia 101, Frequently Asked Questions, Dementia Live, ADRC Resources and a presentation from Julia Johnson, Community Educator from the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Assocation who will talk about Effective Communication Strategies.
