The Sauk County UW-Extension, Arts, and Culture Committee will host a public meeting to re-evaluate the current Arts & Culture grant program.  This meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 31st at the West Square Building, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI, 53913.  There will be two session to attend, one at 2pm and the other at 6pm.  This meeting is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend. We would really like to see residents or organizations who have applied for grants or been involved in the grant program in the past attend a session.  The meeting will be facilitated by Karen Goeschko from the Wisconsin Arts Board.  Sauk County Arts & Culture representatives will be on hand as well.

Sauk County is one of three counties to have such a unique grant program.  Grant funds are available to community organizations, local government organizations, non-profits, and individuals seeking supplementary funds for local arts, humanities, and historic preservation projects within Sauk County.

Sauk County is committed to create and inspire a pride of place, promote progress, and establish Sauk County as a remarkable and desirable place to live and work.  Sauk County’s longstanding support of Arts & Culture (since 1997) sends a message- to residents, to visitors, to other counties- that we value innovation, creative expression, and the willingness to try stuff.  It is a statement of visionary leadership, support of possibility, and commitment to progress.

Come and let your voice be heard.  This will be an opportunity for the citizens and interested parties to review and provide comments on the current structure and purpose of the Sauk County Arts & Culture grant program before the 2019 grant season.  Please contact Haley Weisert at the Sauk County UW-Extension office at 608-355-3250 or haley.weisert@saukcountywi.gov if you have any questions or need more information.
