Making Great Ideas Happen: A Grant Writing Workshop

Mark your calendars for Make Great Ideas Happen, a grant-writing workshop for community organizations and individuals interested in the arts, humanities, and historic preservation.    The workshop will be held at the West Square Building, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI 53913 on Tuesday, November 14th at 6:30pm.

Make Great Ideas Happen will explore the fundamentals of the grant writing process.  For those unfamiliar with grants, the process can be daunting and frustrating. Through this workshop, you will learn important tools and strategies to create fundable grants and gain tips to solve problems with rejected or poorly scored proposals.  You will come out with tools, guidance and confidence, and ready to start your next grant proposal.

Each year, the Sauk County Arts & Culture Committee awards over $50,000 to nonprofits throughout Sauk County to support a wide variety of humanities and arts based programs and projects.  These grants provide funds needed for programming, which includes festivals, community events, lectures, tours, digital projects, community conversations, film projects, exhibitions and more.

The Spring Green Area Arts Coalition offers grants for those serving the communities of Spring Green, Arena, Lone Rock and Plain, and awards over $10,000 each year to individual artists and community organizations. The Coalition can help artists find fiscal sponsors in order to be eligible for funding.
