Public Health Sauk County Encourages Wisconsinites to Sign up for Health Care Coverage during the 10th Annual Open Enrollment Period on HealthCare.gov

Sauk County, Wis. — Public Health Sauk County urges Wisconsin residents to sign up for high quality, affordable health care coverage during the 10th Annual Open Enrollment period.

Beginning November 1, residents across the state will have the opportunity to choose from at least three different health insurance carriers on HealthCare.gov. Four insurance companies are expanding their service areas, giving Wisconsinites more options in more counties.

During this limited time (which ends January 15, 2023), all Wisconsinites are eligible to enroll in one of the high-quality health plans available on the individual marketplace. Wisconsin’s individual health insurance market has the second-most insurers in the nation, and people in many counties have even more insurance options to choose from this year. Those who already have insurance through the marketplace can also renew, update, or upgrade their plans during this period.

“If you need health insurance, there are great plans on the marketplace that cover doctor visits, prescriptions, hospital stays, and more,” says Treemanisha Stewart, Health Officer/Director. “Last year, four out of five people qualified for new cost-savings. Check out WisCovered.com today!”
