Land Resources and Environment (LRE) Committee members present: M. Krueger (zoom) R. Nelson, R. Curry, P. Kinsman, B. Lohr, V. McAuliffe, R. Puttkamer, D. Polivka
Others present: L. Wilson, L. Digmann, M Stieve, K. Felton, B. Bailey
Absent:
At 9:00 am Vice Chair Kinsman called the Land Resources and Environment Committee meeting to order and certified to be in compliance with the Open Meetings Law.
Adopt agenda Motion by Curry/McAuliffe to adopt the agenda. Motion carried, all in favor.
Adopt minutes of previous meeting- March 30, 2021- Motion by Curry/Lohr to approve the March 30, 2021 LRE Committee meeting minutes. Motion carried, all in favor

Communications
Letter re: CUP-04-2021 – Wilson presented the letter that was sent to Dana and Logan Sechler associated with the Equestrian Facility/Stable CUP-04-2021.
Training opportunities for committee members. Wilson encouraged members to take a look at the Planning and Zoning Webinars that are being offered from March-May. Nelson asked if they were recorded for the availability at a later date. Wilson will check if they are recorded and available.
Land Records
Department report - Felton provided a report of departments update on land records modernization plan.
Review and approval of vouchers – None
Register of Deeds
Department report - Bailey provide update on budget.
Review and approval of vouchers - Motion by Polivka/Lohr to approve the vouchers in the amount of
$8,688.65. Motion carried, all in favor.
Land Resources and Environment
Department report. Wilson presented the Department report.
Review and approval of vouchers - Wilson reviewed vouchers in the amount of $25,383.92 and
$2,532.77. Motion by McAuliffe/Curry to approve the LRE vouchers in the total amount of
$27,916.69. Motion carried, all in favor.
Discussion and possible action on a resolution adopting amendments to the fee schedule for
Chapter 10 County Parks. Stieve presented the proposed fee changes. Stieve noted that with the purchase of commercial grade paddle boards the rental fee will increase from $8 to $15 per board. Nelson questioned the rebooking fee. Stieve explained. Motion by Polivka/Lohr. Motion carried, all in favor.
Discussion and possible action on the purchase of a Land Pride flail mow. Stieve provided background information. Motion by Lohr/Curry to approve the purchase of Land Pride flail mower from Simpson’s Tractor in the amount of $8,774. Motion carried, all in favor.

*Farm Service Agency (FSA) - None
*Foresters - None *Economic Development Committee – Krueger noted updates for the new Community Park at Bluffview and for the American Recovery Act.
*Mirror Lake District – Last meeting held March 20. Krueger noted that the new chair is Mark Blakesley. Krueger noted that they are working with the LRE Department to review some erosion issues. Krueger noted that he would like to schedule a time for the Committee to go out with members of the District on Mirror
Lake.
*Lake Virginia Management District - Nelson stated that there were discussions about issues around the lake. Nelson noted that he reached out to Mrs. Wilson and UWEX to acquire information on lake planning grants, which he forwarded along to the district. *Lake Redstone Management District - None
Next meeting dates -Tuesday April 27th and Thursday May 13th, 2021
Motion by Nelson/ McAuliffe to Adjourn at 9:35am. Motion carried, all in favor
