TERMS OF SALE: Bids must meet or exceed the appraised value listed for the parcel and be accompanied by a deposit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price. Only bank money orders or certified checks will be accepted. DO NOT SUBMIT CASH. Make checks payable to the “Sauk County Treasurer”.  Also include a separate $30.00 payment for recording fees made payable to the “Register of Deeds” for each bid submitted.

Bids will be received no later than Monday, September 14, 2015 at 4:30 P.M. and must be addressed “Sauk County Treasurer, 505 Broadway, Room #148, Baraboo, WI 53913” and be clearly marked “SEALED BID FOR TAX DELINQUENT PROPERTY” on the outside of the envelope. Bids for more than one parcel may be enclosed in the same envelope, but separate sheets and deposits are required for each parcel.  No more than one bid may be submitted per parcel by any bidder.

Sauk County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. The County Treasurer will notify only the successful bidders by USPS or email on the day of the bid opening: Tuesday, September 15, 2015. The successful bidders shall pay to the County Treasurer the remaining balance of their bid price no later than October 2, 2015 at 4:30 P.M. or they shall forfeit their bid deposit. Upon full payment of the bid price by the successful bidders and approval of the bids by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors, conveyance of the title will be by Quit Claim Deed without abstract or title evidence. All deposits and recording fees submitted by unsuccessful bidders shall be returned in full.
