Update on CAC:
- Greenwood– identified a meeting room with an observation window and second entrance. She has reserved for interviews but will still be used for supervised visitations. Det. Shimon offered his input on moving furniture around and angling cameras to maximize efficacy. Recording equipment is not adequate so she has submitted for funding of new equipment.
- Greenwood is working on solidifying a plan to arrange for a crisis worker to be available and identified a need for the ability to view the interviews remotely.
- Greenwood met with the Chiefs and they had questions
- Can they attend meetings?
- yes
- Will they have to pull FTI’s and short a shift to conduct interviews?
- No. CPS will provide interviewers when available
- Can they attend meetings?
- Next steps are:
- Compile a list of FTI’s in the county and identify trainings to refresh skills and certify new ones
- Organize and schedule “Practice Sessions” for FTI that haven’t used their skills in some time. (Aiming for March/April)
- Camera equipment order
- Outline logistics, referral policy, etc
Next Meeting/Agenda Items: 3P on 2/24/21
Adjourn – Motion by Greenwood – Second by Werner – unanimous vote – 3:20PM
Respectfully submitted,
Elizabeth LaBroscian
