MINUTES

Aging & Disability Resource Center Committee

Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.

Third Floor County Board Gallery Room 326A, West Square Building

Members Present:  Kriegl, Spencer, Hovde, Braunschweig

Members Absent:  Moore

County Personnel:  Susan Blodgett, ADRC; Quinn Hause, ADRC; Tony Tyczynski, Veterans; and Robin Kitzinger, ADRC

Chair Kriegl called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.

MOTION (Spencer/Hovde) to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried unanimously and agenda adopted.

MOTION (Spencer/Hovde) to approve the minutes of the regular meeting on November 9, 2017.  Motion carried unanimously.

Public Comment:  None

Communications:  

Blodgett read a letter of thanks received and relayed a voicemail message thanking the ADRC for the services and the transportation bus trips.  Various cards and calls of thanks have been received for the blizzard packs that were distributed.

Next Meeting Date and Time:  

Next meeting date and time: TENTATIVE: Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. West Square Building, 3rd Floor County Board Gallery, Room 326A. 

Discussion was held regarding possibly moving the date/time of the meeting so Moore may attend.  Kriegl & Spencer will speak with Moore prior to next meeting.

Susan Blodgett, Aging & Disability Resource Center:

a) Blodgett reported the regional fiscal agent will move from Richland County to Juneau County effective 1/1/2018. 

b) Blodgett reported there have been a couple of meetings with the architect and he hopes to get us prints in a couple of days.  Construction will begin on the first floor which will require the ADRC to relocate for possibly 3 months prior to moving into the second floor space.  

c) Blodgett reviewed the departmental service trends and updates.  Discussion held; no action taken.

d,e) Blodgett presented the monthly financial statement and list of monthly invoices for her department.

MOTION (Spencer/Hovde) to approve the 2017 bills in the amount of $34,526.17. Motion carried unanimously. 

Tony Tyczynski, Veterans Service Office:

a)  Tyczynski presented departmental updates and service trends for his department. 

No MOTION was done.

b) Tyczynski reviewed monthly financial statements.

No MOTION was done.

c)  Tyczynski presented monthly bills for his department.

MOTION (Spencer/Braunschweig) to approve bills for $1,502.95.  Motion carried unanimously.

d)  Tyczynski presented an update on the budget for 2018.

No MOTION was done.

Aging & Disability Resource Center of Eagle Country Board Update:  Reported above

Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee:  

No written report was presented.  Blodgett reported the last meeting was held Tuesday, November 28th.  The GWAAR budget/programming was presented and approved by the committee.  The new software package that was purchased to streamline the transportation was discussed and a report was given on the increase in ridership due to some new bus trips being offered.  The handicapped accessible van will be delivered shortly.

Transportation Coordination Committee:  Covered above.

Next Meeting Agenda Items:  No new items at this time.

MOTION (Spencer/Braunschweig) to adjourn until (TENTATIVE) Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.  Motion carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 4:42 p.m.
