DRAFT MEETING MINUTES

 

COMMITTEE: Aging & Disability Resource Center and Veterans Service Office Committee

DATE / TIME: Monday, December 6th, 2021     4:00 P.M.

PLACE:            West Square Building, Room 213/Virtual

                        Baraboo, WI  53913

 

Members Present:  Curry, Bushweiler (arrived at 4:02pm), Dorner, Polivka, and Riek (virtual)

Members Absent:   None

County Personnel:  Tony Tyczynski, VSO; Susan Blodgett, ADRC; Quinn Hause, ADRC; Stefka Zomer, ADRC.

Others Present:       None

Curry called the meeting to order at 4:01 p.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.

MOTION (Polivka/Dorner) to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried unanimously.

MOTION (Dorner/Polivka) to approve the meeting minutes from November 10th, 2021.Motion carried unanimously.

Public Comment:  None

Communications:  David Riek received an e-mail from Sauk County resident – Harvey Behnke regarding the professionalism and Quality of information shared from Pam Fuchs – Elder Benefits Specialist at ADRC.

Tony Tyczynski, Veterans Service Office:

  1. VSO departmental updates and service trends
  • Tyczynski discussed the outreach by VSO; November was busy month for outreach – attended various meetings and attended a few events in Baraboo for Veterans day. Discussion followed; no action taken.
  • Tyczynski discussed the current Veterans case trends –Tyczynski informed the board that he still has challenges with VA service-connected exams being scheduled for Mental health.  Discussion followed.  No action taken.
  1. Tyczynski presented the monthly financial statements for his department.  Discussion Followed, no action taken

       c)    Consider approval of the Monthly Invoices – Discussion followed.

MOTION (Dorner/Bushweiler) to approve the November 2021 bills in the amount of $2, 826.32. Motion carried unanimously.

Susan Blodgett/Quinn Hause, Aging & Disability Resource Center

  1. Hause and Blodgett presented to the board Sauk County Meals Policy. Discussion followed. No Action taken
  2. Hause presented to the board the ADRC monthly report. ADRC received small grants from SSM health for our Blizzard pack program.  All congregate dining centers are still closed but hoping to slowly reopen them in 2022. ALL caregiver funds have been used for year 2021. ADRC mailed out 23 surveys to all caregivers and received back 13 surveys.   Discussion followed. No action taken.
  3. Hause informed the board that ADRC has been working with Sauk County Jail to establish a contract to move the meals from Health Care center. Starting November 29th, 2021 all Home delivered meals except the Lavelle route are moved to Sauk County jail. ADRC still receive frozen meals from Sauk County HCC Discussion followed. No action taken.
  4. Blodgett informed the board that ADRC is hiring Dementia Care Social worker for Sauk County in 2022. This position will be part time State funded. Discussion followed. No action taken.
  5. Blodgett presented the monthly financial statements for her department. Discussion followed.
  6. Blodgett presented the Monthly invoices for her department. Discussion followed.

MOTION (Polivka/Dorner) to approve the November 2021 bills in the amount of $ 33, 149.69. Motion carried unanimously.

Aging & Disability Resource Center of Eagle County Board Update: Discussion followed. No action taken.

MOTION (Polivka/Bushweiler) to adjourn until Wednesday, January 12th, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. Motion carried unanimously, and the meeting adjourned at 4:54 p.m.
