“This meeting is open to the public. However, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, members of the public can access the meeting by Zoom or by phone using the links and numbers bellow. No one should attend the meeting if they are experiencing COVID - or flu-like symptoms, have a fever, sore throat or recently experienced a loss of taste or smell. Masks are encouraged but not required. Social distancing of 6 feet is required.”

Members Present: Curry, Bushweiler (arrived at 4:05pm), Dorner, Polivka, and Riek
Members Absent: None
County Personnel: Tony Tyczynski, VSO; Quinn Hause, ADRC; Stefka Zomer, ADRC.
Others Present: None
Curry called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.
MOTION (Dorner/Polivka) to adopt the agenda. Motion carried unanimously.
MOTION (Riek/Polivka) to approve the meeting minutes from October 5th, 2021 and October 28th, 2021. Motion carried unanimously.
Public Comment: Clark Pettersen- Volunteer Escort Driver at ADRC of Sauk County asked if the board could review the current meal reimbursement policy and make changes if possible. He stated that drivers need to be able to receive meal reimbursement even if they transport clients inside of Sauk county. Discussion followed. No action taken.
Communications: None
Tony Tyczynski, Veterans Service Office:
- VSO departmental updates and service trends
- Tyczynski discussed the outreach by VSO; October was busy month for outreach – attended various meetings and Regional WCVSO training in Sparta. He informed the board that he will be attending a few events in Baraboo for Veterans day. Discussion followed; no action taken.
- Tyczynski discussed the current Veterans case trends –Tyczynski informed the board that VA hired additional claims workers to address the backlog. Discussion followed. No action taken.
- Tyczynski presented the monthly financial statements for his department. Discussion Followed, no action taken
c) Consider approval of the Monthly Invoices – Discussion followed.
MOTION (Dorner/Bushweiler) to approve the October 2021 bills in the amount of $22, 185.32. Motion carried unanimously.
Quinn Hause, Aging & Disability Resource Center
- Hause presented to the board the ADRC monthly report. ADRC is working on transportation grant 85.21 for 2022 and submitted an application for a Veterans transportation grant. All congregate dining centers are still closed but hoping to slowly reopen them in 2022. Open enrollment for Medicare part D began on October 15th, 2021 and our social workers are working with Medicare participants, mostly over the phone rather than in person. Discussion followed. No action taken.
- Hause informed the board that ADRC has been working with Sauk County Jail to establish a contract to move the meals from Health Care center. Discussion followed. No action taken.
- Hause informed the board that ADRC is going to hire Dementia Care Social worker for Sauk County in 2022. This position will be part time State funded. Discussion followed. No action taken.
- Hause presented the monthly financial statements for her department. Discussion followed.
- Hause presented the Monthly invoices for her department. Discussion followed.
MOTION (Polivka/Dorner) to approve the October 2021 bills in the amount of $ 23, 800.98. Motion carried unanimously.
Aging & Disability Resource Center of Eagle County Board Update: Discussion followed. No action taken.
