Transportation Coordination Committee

Monday, October 25th, 2021     10:30 A.M.

Virtual meeting/ WSB County Board Gallery Room 326

505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI 53913

 

Members Present: Carlson, Crary, Dorner, Ellington, Fordham, Johnson (virtual), Hause, Klepper, Lombard, Waddell, Wildman (virtual)

Members Absent:   Leguizamon, Stehling (excused), Woodward (excused)

County Personnel:  Dankert, ADRC; Wittman, ADRC; Zomer, ADRC

Others Present:       None

1) Carlson called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.

2) Introduction of Andrea Lombard, new Appointment, Citizen Member- Andrea Lombard informed the board that she is representing the people over the age of 60 years old. Discussion followed.

3)  MOTION (Ellington/Fordham) to adopt the agenda. Motion carried unanimously and agenda adopted.

4) MOTION (Fordham/Ellington) to approve the minutes of the regular meeting from August 3rd, 2021. Motion carried unanimously. Vote all in favor.

5) Public Comment:  None

6) Communications:  None

7) Dankert informed the board the ADRC is working on submitting application for 85.21 grant. The Section 85.21 County Elderly and Disabled Transportation Assistance Program utilizes federal and state funds for capital and operating projects that improve the mobility of seniors and individuals with disabilities. Discussion followed.

MOTION (Fordham/Dorner) to approve ADRC to submit 85.21 grant application for calendar year 2022. Vote all in favor.

8) Transportation reports: Dankert presented to the board the transportation report. She informed the board that ADRC stopped all Fun day travel trips and Shopping bus trips due to Covid-19. In the last quarter we had an increase of the wheelchair rides and a decrease of taxi ticket sales in Baraboo. ADRC mailed out yearly Volunteer Driver surveys. We received 62 surveys back, 98% positive feedback. Discussion followed.

9) Next meeting date and time: Monday, January 31st, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.

 MOTION (Lombard/Dorner) to adjourn until Monday, January 31st, 2022 at 10:00a.m.  Motion carried unanimously and

 the meeting adjourned at 10:45 a.m.
