DRAFT MINUTES

Transportation Coordination Committee

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021     10:00 A.M.

Virtual meeting/ WSB Room 213

505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI 53913

Members Present: Carlson, Crary, Dorner, Ellington, Fordham, Johnson (virtual), Hause, Klepper, Stehling, Waddell

Members Absent:   Brattset (excused), Leguizamon, Lombard (excused), Wildman (excused), Woodward (excused)

County Personnel:  Blodgett, ADRC; Wittman, ADRC; Zomer, ADRC

Others Present:       None

1) Klepper called the meeting to order at 10:03 a.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.

2) Introduction of Michelle Crary, new Appointment, Citizen Member- Michelle Crary informed the board that she is IRIS Consultant representing the people with disabilities. Discussion followed.

3) Introduction of Dale Johnson, new Appointment, Citizen Member- Dale Johnson informed the board that he is citizen member representing people with disabilities.

4) Introduction of Joan Fordham, new Appointment, Citizen Member- Joan Fordham informed the board that she is representing the people over the age of 60 years old. Discussion followed.

5) Introduction of Andrea Lombard, new Appointment, Citizen Member- will be discussed in October 2021

6) Chair: Klepper nominated Carlson, Hause nominated Waddell. Dorner seconded Carlson nomination. Ellington seconded Waddell nomination. Discussion followed. Ellington, Hause, Stehling voted for Waddell nomination. Fordham, Dorner, Klepper, Johnson voted for Carson nomination.

MOTION (Dorner/Fordham) to close nominations and vote to elect Carlson as Chair.  Motion carried unanimously and Carlson presided over remainder of the meeting.

Vice-Chair:  Dorner nominated Waddell; seconded by Klepper. 

MOTION (Stehling/Klepper) to close nominations and vote to elect Waddell as Vice Chair.  Motion carried unanimously.

Secretary:  Motion (Fordham/Dorner) to reelect Ellington as secretary. Vote all in favor.

7) MOTION (Ellington/Stehling) to adopt the agenda. Motion carried unanimously and agenda adopted.

8) MOTION (Dorner/Ellington) to approve the minutes of the regular meeting from May 20th, 2021. Motion carried unanimously. Vote all in favor.

9) Public Comment:  None

10) Communications:  None

11) Blodgett informed the board the ADRC is working on submitting application for 53.10 grant. The Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program utilizes federal and state funds for capital and operating projects that improve the mobility of seniors and individuals with disabilities. Discussion followed.

MOTION (Dorner/Waddell) to approve ADRC to submit 53.10 grant application. Vote all in favor.

12) Transportation reports: Blodgett presented to the board the transportation report. She informed the board that ADRC resumed Fun day travel trips and Shopping bus trips starting June 2021. In the last quarter we have increase of the wheelchair rides and decrease of taxi ticket sales, mainly in Baraboo. Discussion followed.

13) Next meeting date and time: Monday, October 25th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.

 MOTION (Klepper/Stehling) to adjourn until Monday, October 25th, 2021 at 10:00a.m.  Motion carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 10:29 a.m.
