Filling and Grading (Shoreland) Permit Instructions

Section 3 - Building Description

  2. Please be sure to describe everything you are building. It is a pole shed, but be sure to tell us if there is a loft, if there is a deck or anything else that may make your shed unique so that we can permit exactly what you are building, as well as the use (such as personal storage, etc.).
  3. Value of structure - this is not applicable and you may leave it blank

Section 4 - Plumbing Description

This section does not apply.

Section 5 - Fire Sign

This section does not apply unless you are adding a new drive to access where the filling and grading project is taking place and would like a fire sign in case of emergencies prior to constructing a building.

NOTE: that you may be required to apply for and receive a special exception permit from the Sauk County Board of Adjustment if your filling and grading project is within 300 feet of the ordinary highwater mark of navigable water, or if your slopes are greater than 20%, you have more than 2,000 square feet of disturbance on slopes of 12%-20%, you have more than 4,000 sqare feet of disturbance on slopes less than 12% or for any area on a slope greater than 20% which is located between 300 and 1,000 feet landward of the ordinary highwater mark of a lake, pond or flowage.
