CURRENT PROJECTS
 

Current parcel mapping

• All seventeen villages and cities and all 22 townships within the county are in digital format residing on the county datum and are available for viewing in various apps located on the Land Information/GIS Home page.

Training and Upgrading

• The Land Information/GIS department upgraded our GIS software to ESRI's ArcGIS 10.5.1. This combined with ArcGIS Online allows us to display our property maps with orthophotography and other coverages along with the tax parcel data.
• Provide training and support for all departments who develop land records GIS project.

Section & 1/4 Corner Monumentation Map

• Hot links to each corner and/or corner number.
• Will display the monument compilation sheet, ties and coordinates when available.

Digital Orthophotography and LiDAR

Spring 2020 - acquire orthophotography and LiDAR with Wisconsin Regional Orthoimagery Consortium (WROC) through Ayers Associates. The product will be color orthophotography at 6-inch pixel resolution and the map scale at 1" = 100'. The orthoimagery will meet or exceed ASPRS accuracy standards.

LiDAR is a remote-sensing technology that uses laser pulses to measure surfaces and objects in three dimensions. Millions of data points are collected from a sensor that can be mounted in a variety of aircraft and ground-based mobile platforms. The topographic data is highly accurate and accepted by FEMA for floodplain mapping.
