Testing Your Well

Wisconsin’s Well Testing Access Program (WellTAP) provides free test kits to qualified private well users.

You may qualify if:

  • You have a primary residence is served by a private well.
  • You have a financial or other burden preventing you from paying for testing.
  • The well routinely serves a pregnant person, a child (12 or under), or a person with a weakened immune system.

  • Spring Green Community Library - 230 E. Monroe St., Spring Green, WI 53588.

Extension-Sauk County offers more information about other private well-testing options. They have several different test kits available to suit your needs or concerns. The UW Extension office is located on the third floor of the West Square Building.
