DATE NOTICE MAILED: December 16, 2019
PREPARED BY: Elizabeth LaBroscian
Any person who has a qualifying disability that requires the meeting or materials at the meeting to be in an accessible lo-cation or format should contact Sauk County (608-355-3269 or TTY 608-355-3490) between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, exclusive of legal holidays, at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting so that reasonable arrangements can be made to accommodate each request.

Attendees:
-
E. LaBroscian; Stacy McClure; Andy Lewis; Jenna Greenwood; Laura Boehmer; Jamie Sathasivam; Amanda Hanson; Nikki Dobbs; Linda Hoffman; Jill Poarch; Emily Eklund; Rick Spoentgen
The meeting was called to order and certification of Open Meeting compliance was given at 11:01 A.M.
Motion by Spoentgen, second by Poarch to adopt agenda. Motion carried.
No minutes from previous meeting because previous meeting was a working group meeting – no minutes were taken.
Public Comment: None
Introductions/Update:
-
Hope House – Jamie S – new finance director @ HH
-
Greenwood – new supervisor for CPS
-
DA – Facility dog and new ADA – Deb O’Rourke
-
Poarch – AB 214 – codification of practices relating to processing and handling of sexual assault kits
-
Spoentgen - Discussion of potential AG SART goals for 2020 and possible recommendation of proactively calling advocacy prior to response or in-response to DV or SA calls.
Discussion of impact of recent CVRB jurisdiction
-
DA’s perspective – impact on potential information sharing with Hope House.
-
Discussion of further applicability to law enforcement – DA’s office suggests that they think that it does. Suggests revision of the 72 hour no contact forms and SA worksheets to include opt-in language (or at least opt-out language). DA’s office opinion on this controlling on only their office.
-
Suggestion to LE to discuss with management and each individual department’s legal counsel as to their future course of action.
Discussion of mission/objectives
-
Looked at the version in records and it comports with the version that was approved by the group in October, 2019. No further discussion necessary.
Goals for 2020:
-
Victim information sharing.
-
Hope House relied rather heavily on the DA’s office for referrals – the CVRB opinion is going to be far-reaching.
-
Need to try to get information sharing back up-and-running.
-
Updating SA worksheet to deal with this
-
-
-
Continued work and roll-out of victim survey.
-
Increasing local SANE and HH utilization issues by LE
-
Continuation of Case Reviews
Next meeting and agenda items: 1/15/20 @ 11A – likely to be room 213 W. Square, but may be EMBS – agenda will be completed by LaBroscian (ideas to her)
Motion by Greenwood, second by Spoentgen to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried at 12:02 PM with unanimous voice vote.
Respectfully submitted:
Rick Spoentgen
