Public Comment: No members of the public present.
-
Review Progress of Risk Assessment Subcommittee: Risk Assessment committee is down to two assessments. There should be more information for this Committee at our next meeting.
-
Continue discussion regarding warning/releases utilized by other jurisdictions for in custody individuals: Committee looked at different consent form from LaCrosse and did not care for the wording in it. Discussion about informed consent, what type of information is given, what their rights are and where in the process will the informed consent come into play. Need to look at who would be doing the consent form as it could end up being a coerced consent.
The committee decided to take action on Program objectives sheet that was provided by Regina Baldwin, add wording to #4 “and access to services” motion to adopt by Kevin Calkins and Second by Jay England. They like the Pre-Trial Interview however it needs to be revised.
-
Next Meeting Date and agenda items: February 12th, 2019 @ 12:00.
-
Continued discussion about Risk Assessment Tools.
-
Look at forms that were distributed at last meeting. What would the committee like to see changed on the Pre-Trial Interview form to meet our county’s needs? They would like to see bullet points.
-
Continued discussion about the population targeted for the start of Pre-Trial Monitoring. Discussed about looking at people that have been in custody the longest and only there because they are unable to post cash bond.
-
Public Comment: None.
-
Adjournment:
Motion by Kevin Calkins, second by Jeff Spencer to adjourn. Motion carried at 12:53PM.
Respectfully Submitted:
Amanda Hanson
