Members Present: Peter Vedro, Patricia Rego, Tom Kriegl, Kevin Calkins, Chief Strunz, Cathy Warwick, Dan Brattset, Noelle Sapiro, Elizabeth La Broscian, Ryan Ramnarace, Captain Lange, Brian Basham, Annette Kuhlmann, Kara Rolf

 

Members Absent: Leonie Dolch, Judge Screnock, Judge Klicko, Judge Barrett,

 

 

Others Present: Regina Baldwin, Alene Bolin, Kristen Hemmersbach

             

Call Meeting to Order:

The meeting was called to order and certification of Open Meeting compliance was given at 3:33 p.m.

 

Adopt Agenda:

Motion by Lange, second Rego to adopt agenda. Motion carried.

 

Minutes:

Motion to approve minutes with modification by Kriegl, second by Ramnarace to adopt minutes. Motion carried.

 

Public Comment:

None.

 

Communications:

None.

 

Review and adoption of By-Laws

Motion to adopt draft by-laws by Brattsett, second by Warwick. Motion carried.

 

Significant Changes: Membership – added Sauk County Administrative Coordinator (Alene Bolin) to CJCC. Joanne Jones has been named as the Ho-Chunk Nation representative on CJCC; we are attempting contact.

Structure – Officers; Committees – Left CJCC with three standing committees (remaining committees disbanded pending further action by CJCC and standing committees) Discussion of name options for new Victims committee. Discussion of which current committees will fall under which revised standing committees. Encouragement given to complete work by less formal individual task/work group format, with oversight and approval of the committees/CJCC.   

May CJCC Report – Baldwin

ATC: Discussion on changing graduation ceremonies from evening to day-time court ceremony. Continue work on Memorandum of Understanding amongst participating agencies on staffing team.

SUDs:  Discussed case manager ride-along with Law Enforcement to allow for immediate contact with potential referral candidates and to educate Law Enforcement officers on the referral process.

 

Budget Concerns

Discussion of TAD and SUDS Grants. Discussion of possible employee additions: Re-entry and Release Position, and Data Entry Position.
