Certification of compliance with the open meeting law.  Motion by Kolb , second by Geimer , to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.  Motion by Kolb, second by Lombard to approve the minutes of the prior meeting.  Motion carried.

 

Public Comment  None.

 

Communications  None.

 

Financial Report and Bills  Motion by Schauf, second by Lombard to pay the bills.  Motion carried.  $8,800 for fiber optic relocation will be included with Science Building project.

 

Facilities and Maintenance Report(s)   David Armstrong presented information on maintenance activities.  Kelly Young reported that 60% of the residence hall is complete; phase II will begin on Monday, the 25th.  Temporary housing for non-local students has been secured.  It is anticipated that students will be able to gain occupancy two weeks after school starts (best guess scenario).

 

Consideration of a resolution Granting an Easement to Alliant Energy to Improve and Provide Utility Services to the University of Wisconsin Baraboo /Sauk County.  Motion by Lombard, second by Geimer to approve the resolution Granting an Easement to Alliant Energy to Improve and Provide Utility Services to the University of Wisconsin Baraboo /Sauk County and forward to the City and County for consideration.  Motion carried.

 

2015 Budget Request to City and County

Commission discussed action on budget to-date and confirmed request as it exists.

 

Deans Report   Dean Tracy White presented information on admissions and applications.  Requests are up by 10%.  Indicated that the Board of Regents will be meeting to approve the UW budget for the upcoming year.

 

Next meeting:  September 18, 2014 at 8:00 a.m.

 

Motion by Geimer, second by Lombard to adjourn.  Motion carried.
