The meeting was called to order at 1:00PM by Chair Hambrecht.
Certification of Open Meeting Notice
Requirements of the Open Meeting Law were met.
Adopt Agenda
Motion made by McAuliffe, second by Newport to adopt the agenda. Motion carried. All in favor.
Adopt Minutes of Previous Meeting
Motion made by Berlin, second by Hazard to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 1, 2018 and Special Meeting of August 15, 2018. Motion carried. All in favor.

Review Budget and Approval of Vouchers:
UW Extension: Budget reviewed; educator contract line will be adjusted/corrected based on the vacant positions Sauk County had the 2nd half of 2018.
Motion made by Hazard, second by Berlin to approve the August 2018 UW-Extension invoices in the amount of $2,466.11. Motion carried. All in favor.
Departmental Updates:
Monthly Committee Staff Report
Discussion and action on the UW Extension 2019 budget
Committee review. Highlights discussed; 6.4% budget decrease. Motion made by McAuliffe, second by Hazard to approve with a strong recommendation to fully-fund the 2019 UW-Extension budget to Finance. Motion carried. All in favor.
Discussion and possible action, committee approval for professional development certifications if using county funding (Erickson – Certified Public Manager)
Request by Erickson to continue to attend valuable, relevant trainings to support her work in Sauk County. Trainings are part of a certification program using partial county funding. All in favor as a consensus to allow Erickson to continue to use county professional development to attend CPM classes.
Discussion and possible action for Meg Sage to serve as a co-chair and member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Advisory Committee for national efforts put forth by eXtension
No county funding; Motion made by McAuliffe, second by Berlin to approve Sage to serve as a co-chair and member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Advisory Committee. Motion carried. All in favor.
Discussion and possible action for Meg Sage to attend the Impact Collaborative Conference as co-Chair of DEI Advisory Committee from October 16-18, in Indianapolis, Indiana
No county funding; Motion made by McAuliffe, second by Berlin to approve Sage to attend the Impact Collaborative Conf. in Indianapolis, Indiana. Motion carried. All in favor.
Discussion and possible action for Meg Sage to attend the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents conference in Columbus, Ohio from October 7-11
Partial county funding; Motion made by Hazard, second by Newport to approve Sage to attend the National Assn. of Extension 4-H Agents conference in Columbus, Ohio. Motion carried. All in favor.
Educator reports:
Meg Sage, 4-H & Youth Dev. - quarterly report shared
Caitlin Richardson/Melissa Beernink, FoodWIse – Federal guidelines changed; will continue to work to expand partners in Sauk Co.
ARTS & CULTURE
Review Budget and Approval of Vouchers:
Arts & Culture: Budget reviewed. Motion made by McAuliffe, second by Newport to approve the August 2018 invoices in the amount of $1047.84. Motion carried. All in favor.
Discussion and possible action on the Arts & Culture 2019 budget
Highlights discussed; includes Wormfarm Outside Agency Request. Motion made by Hazard, second by McAuliffe to approve the Arts & Culture program budget “as is” and forward to Finance. Motion carried. All in favor.
Discussion, possible action to approve the Baraboo Area Chamber of Commerce/Baraboo’s Big Top Parade request to extend AHHP final report to October 1, 2018
Motion made by Hazard, second by McAuliffe to approve extending AHHP final report deadline to October 1, 2018.
