The meeting was called to order and certification of Open Meeting compliance was given at 6:30 p.m. The agenda was approved on a motion by Peper, second by Fordham . Motion carried.

Chair Krueger welcomed attendees and introduced the topic of “Placemaking” with a brief history of discussions to date.
Introductions were provided by committee members and attendees.
Business Items
Noreen Rueckert, Director of Green County Tourism presented information on how Green County utilized “placemaking” as a way to focus the collective energy of Green County.
Group Discussion
Schauf shared a presentation from a prior meeting of Economic Development and the Sauk County Development Corporation. Chair Krueger led a group discussion. Discussion points that were brought forward:
Placemaking becomes a way to have a county-wide identity.
It is a shared, common vision.
Strategic focused.
“Placemaking” is about what sets you apart.
One of the benefits is going through the process – it is about uncovering identity.
Using a consultant allows for an objective view of who you are.
It’s about more than tourism.
Motion by Johnson , second by Fish, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
