NOTE: It is possible that members of and possibly a quorum of members of other governmental bodies of the municipality may be in attendance at the above stated meeting to gather information; no action will be taken by any governmental body at the above stated meeting other than the governmental body specifically referred to above in this matter.
Any person who has a qualifying disability that requires the meeting or materials at the meeting to be in an accessible location or format should contact Sauk County (608-355-3269 or TTY 608-355-3490) between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, exclusive of legal holidays, and at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting so that reasonable arrangements can be made to accommodate each request.
Conservation, Planning, and Zoning (CPZ) Committee members present: J. Ashford, J. Dietz, F. Halfen, D. Nobs, D. Polivka, R. Puttkamer

At 9:00 a.m. Vice Chair Ashford called the Conservation, Planning, and Zoning Committee to order and certified to be in compliance with the Open Meetings Law.
Adopt agenda: Motion by Puttkamer/Halfen to adopt the agenda. Motion carried, all members in favor.
Adopt minutes of previous meeting-March 14: Motion by Halfen/Nobs to adopt the minutes from the March 14 Conservation, Planning, and Zoning Committee meeting. Motion carried, all members in favor.
Public Comment: None.
Communications:
- Updates from previous CPZ Committee meetings - Michalek briefly explained BS&A software and detailed when the comprehensive plan needs review.
Foresters’ report: None.
Review and selection of teacher scholarship recipient(s): Pohle presented the two scholarship applications received. Motion by Polivka/Puttkamer to approve Jill Hunger and Patricia Klappa to receive scholarships up to $300 each. Motion carried, all in favor.
Review and selection of youth conservation camp scholarship recipient(s): Pohle presented one middle school camp scholarship application for Liam Taber and two high school camp scholarship applications for Kimberly Helm-Quest and Samuel Rocha. Motion by Polivka/Halfen to approve camp scholarships for Taber, Helm-Quest, and Rocha. Motion carried, all in favor.
Review and discussion of Chapter 7 Sauk County zoning ordinance draft: Discussion and guidance for language revisions were provided to staff. Updates will be presented to the CPZ Committee on April 11.
Register of Deeds:
a. Department reports and updates-Bailey presented the department report.
b. Review and approval of vouchers-Motion by Halfen/Nobs to approve vouchers in the amount of $3,817.73. Motion carried, all in favor.
Review and possible action on department mid-term assessment – generation of strategic issues: Michalek provided strategic issues to the Committee. At an upcoming County Board meeting, each Committee Chair will read the key issues and all County Board members will also receive them in writing. The document provided to the CPZ Committee can be provided as a supporting document. Motion by Polivka/Halfen to approve the key issues as presented with the addition of scholarships under education. Motion carried, all in favor.
Next meeting of the Conservation, Planning, and Zoning Committee will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, and Tuesday, April 23.
Motion by Polivka/Halfen to adjourn at 11:10 a.m. Motion carried, all members in favor.
