Aging & Disability Resource Center Committee
Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.
Third Floor County Board Gallery Room 326A, West Square Building
Members Present: Kriegl, Spencer, Hovde.
Members Absent: Moore, Braunschwieg
County Personnel: Susan Blodgett, ADRC; Quinn Hause, ADRC; Tony Tyczynski, Veterans; Robin Kitzinger, ADRC
Others Present: Becky Dahl, ADRC Regional Director
Chair Kriegl called the meeting to order at 4:12 p.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.
MOTION (Spencer/Hovde) to adopt the amended agenda. Motion carried unanimously and agenda adopted.
MOTION (Spencer/Hovde) to approve the minutes of the regular meeting on October 12, 2017. Motion carried unanimously.
Public Comment: None
Communications:
Blodgett referenced 3 letters received thanking the ADRC for services provided and for the Medicare 101 Presentation given by the Elder Benefit Specialists.

Next meeting date and time: Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. West Square Building, 3rd Floor County Board Gallery, Room 326A.
Susan Blodgett, Aging & Disability Resource Center:
a) Blodgett reported that the regional fiscal meeting was postponed at the request of Richland County. Becky Dahl updated the Board on the meetings being held in Richland County. Discussion followed. No action taken.
b) Blodgett presented a resolution to contract with an architect for a design of the ADRC space remodel. Discussion followed.
MOTION (Spencer/Hovde) to approve the resolution to contract with Studio May Architects to re-design portions of the second floor to provide a unified space for the ADRC. Motion carried unanimously and board members in attendance signed the resolution.
c) Blodgett reviewed the departmental service trends and updates. Discussion held; no action taken.
d,e) Blodgett presented the monthly financial statement and list of monthly invoices for her department.
MOTION (Spencer/Hovde) to approve the 2017 bills in the amount of $20,529.68. Motion carried unanimously.
f) Blodgett presented a resolution to purchase a rear-entry handicapped accessible van for the transportation program.
Discussion followed.
MOTION (Hovde/Spencer) to authorize the ADRC Director to purchase a rear-entry handicapped accessible van from Freedom Motors at a cost of $39,890 using DOT grant funds. Motion carried unanimously and board members in attendance signed the resolution.
Tony Tyczynski, Veterans Service Office:
a) Tyczynski presented departmental updates and service trends for his department.
No MOTION was done.
b) Tyczynski reviewed monthly financial statements.
No MOTION was done.
c) Tyczynski presented monthly bills for his department.
MOTION (Hovde/Spencer) to approve bills for $469.42. Motion carried unanimously.
d) Tyczynski presented an update on the budget for 2018.
No MOTION was done.
Aging & Disability Resource Center of Eagle Country Board Update:
Covered earlier in the meeting.
Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee: None. Next meeting scheduled for November 28, 2017.
Blodgett reported she will be presenting the 2018 Aging Plan and GWAAR 2018 budgets.
Transportation Coordination Committee: None. Next meeting scheduled for November 28, 2017.
Blodgett reported she will be updating the members on the status of various DOT grants for next year.
