Aging & Disability Resource Center Committee
Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.

Members Present: Braunschweig, McAuliffe, Moore, Spencer, Whitsell
Members Absent:
County Personnel: Susan Blodgett, ADRC; Tony Tyczynski, Veterans; Quinn Hause, ADRC; Pam Fuchs, ADRC; Robin Kitzinger, ADRC;
Others Present:
Moore called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.
MOTION (Spencer/Braunschweig) to adopt the agenda. Motion carried unanimously and agenda adopted.
MOTION (Braunschweig/Spencer) to approve the minutes of the regular meeting on April 12, 2018. Motion carried unanimously.
Public Comment: None
Election of Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary of the Committee:
Chair: Whitsell nominated Spencer; seconded by McAuliffe. Moore called for more nominations three times. Hearing none, MOTION (Whitsell/Braunschweig) to close nominations and vote to appoint Spencer. Motion carried unanimously and Spencer presided over remainder of the meeting.
Vice-Chair: Moore nominated Braunschweig; seconded by McAuliffe. Spencer called for more nominations three times. Hearing none, MOTION (Whitsell/Moore) to close nominations and vote to appoint Braunschweig. Motion carried unanimously.
Secretary: Spencer nominated McAuliffe; seconded by Braunschweig. MOTION (Moore/Whitsell) to close nominations and vote to appoint McAuliffe. Motion carried unanimously.
Setup Meeting Dates and Times: (discussion followed)
Spencer is good with time but dates need to be changed. Discussion followed and a unanimous agreement was reached to meet at 2:45 p.m. on the 3rd Friday of the month.
Next meeting date and time: Friday, June 15, 2018 at 2:45 p.m. West Square Building, 3rd Floor County Board Gallery, Room 326A.

Tony Tyczynski, Veterans Service Office (VSO):
Tyczynski gave a brief overview of the VSO services.
a) Tyczynski reviewed the department service trends and updates. Discussion followed; no action taken.
b,c) Tyczynski presented the monthly financial statement and a list of invoices for his department.
MOTION (Moore/Whitsell) to approve the financial statement and the April 2018 bills in the amount of $ 1,093.70. Motion carried unanimously.
Susan Blodgett, Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC):
a) Blodgett provided a brief overview of the ADRC organizational chart & the funding sources. Benefit specialists Pam Fuchs covered elderly benefit services provided and Quinn Hause covered disability benefit services provided.
b) Blodgett reported on how the region is comprised and the funding sources. Discussion followed regarding the 2018 contract. No action taken.
c) Blodgett presented the need to elect a Regional Governing Board Representative from this Committee and provided details about the time and place of the meetings. Discussion followed on how this person was to be determined. Braunschweig nominated Whitsell; seconded by McAuliffe. MOTION (Moore) to close nominations and case a unanimous vote.
Moore left at 5:06.
d) Blodgett gave a history of the previous Lake Delton dining site and the new Senior Gathering Center to be opened at the Frank Fischer Center in Lake Delton on May 29, 2018. Discussion followed. No action taken.
e) Blodgett reviewed the dining centers and the My Meal, My Way pilot program at Schnitzelbank Restaurant in Plain. Blodgett also reported on the Breakfast Bag pilot program and the need to work out some delivery problems. Discussion followed on each of the services. No action taken.
f) Blodgett reviewed the departmental service trends and updates. Discussion followed. No action taken. Blodgett, then, presented the April donations report. McAuliffe felt Blodgett could decide where the donations received should go and the Committee could approve it at the next meeting. The Committee unanimously agreed to this and accepted the donations report as presented.
g, h) Blodgett presented the monthly financial statement and the list of monthly invoices for her department.
MOTION (McAuliffe/Braunschweig) to approve the April 2018 bills in the amount of $18,347.46. Motion carried unanimously.
Aging & Disability Resource Center of Eagle Country Board Update:
Covered under ADRC item C.
Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee: None. Next meeting is May 29, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.
Blodgett explained how the ADRC Advisory Committee is needed in order to meet the Federal standards requirement for ADRCs.
Transportation Coordination Committee: None. Next meeting is May 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
Blodgett thanked the members for wanting to serve on this Committee.
