Aging & Disability Resource Center Committee

Members Present: Kriegl, Spencer, Moore, Braunschweig, and Hovde arrived at 8:33
Members Absent: None
County Personnel: Tony Tyczynski, Veterans; Louie Birkholz, Veterans; Cathy Bindl, ADRC; and Robin Kitzinger, ADRC
Others Present: None.
Chair Kriegl called the meeting to order at 8:23 a.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.
MOTION (Braunschweig/Moore) to adopt the amended agenda. Motion carried unanimously and agenda adopted.
MOTION (Braunschweig/Moore) to approve the minutes of the regular meeting on December 1, 2016. Motion carried unanimously.

Tony Tyczynski, Veterans Service Office:
a) Tyczynski reported on December activities, introduced Louie Birkholz as the Assistant Veterans Service Officer, updated the Committee on the current service trends and the 2016 Goals outcome efficiencies/performance measures. 2017 Goals will be reported next month.
b) Tyczynski presented the monthly financial statement.
MOTION (Moore/Braunschweig) to accept the financial report. Motion carried unanimously.
c) Tyczynski presented the list of 2016 bills and the list of 2017 bills.
MOTION (Moore/Spencer) to approve the 2016 bills in the amount of $1,156.00 and the 2017 bills in the amount of $60.00. Motion carried unanimously.
Susan Blodgett, Aging & Disability Resource Center:
a) Kitzinger reported Susan was unable to attend due to medical reasons. The department does not have an assistant director and Susan was contacted on how to proceed in her absence. Her instructions were to present the monthly financial report and invoices for the department. She requested that any questions the Committee may have on the reports be e-mailed to her. The ADRC departmental updates and service trends report will be presented at next month’s meeting.
b) Kitzinger presented the monthly report and list of bills for the ADRC and discussion followed.
MOTION (Moore/Braunschweig) to receive the report and approve bills in the amount of $26,3593.87. Motion carried unanimously.
c) Draft policy for potential non-payment of services: Kitzinger reported Susan is working on the policy and it will be presented at the next meeting. Moore expressed concern about policies coming up to this Committee for review before being presented at the Advisory Committee meetings. Discussion followed and it was decided the presentation of the policy would be postponed until it has first gone through the Advisory Committee.
d) Scenarios of providing hot/cold weekend meals & associated costs: Bindl reported on the status of a survey taken to estimate the number of clients interested in weekend frozen meals. Questions were raised regarding the cost per meal that will be addressed at the next meeting.
e) Bindl updated the Committee on the return of Melody Reber as the Sauk Prairie Dining Site Manager.
f) Approval of 85.21 Grant Submission: Kitzinger reported that (per Susan) the grant is complete but asked that the approval be put on hold until after the February Advisory Committee meeting as the Transportation Coordinator, Robin Goodman, was unable to attend this meeting.
Aging & Disability Resource Center of Eagle Country Board Update:
No report, as Hovde was unable to attend the last meeting due to illness.
Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee: None. Next meeting scheduled for February 28, 2017.
Transportation Coordination Committee: None. Next meeting scheduled for February 28, 2017.
