Pregnant mother

Designed for women who are U.S. Citizens, who have had a positive pregnancy test, and intend to apply for BadgerCare Plus. This is a confidential temporary BadgerCare card that covers pregnancy related services outside of the hospital.

The Public Health Nurses can write a card or apply online for the client (called Express Enrollment), based on income, to cover outpatient services such as doctor office appointments, ultrasounds, labwork and prenatal vitamin prescriptions, immediately through the last day of the following month. This gives the woman time to apply with the county Human Services for the full coverage BadgerCare. Income guidelines are for 300% of the Federal Poverty Level.
