Public Health Sauk County plays an important role in the detection, surveillance and control of communicable disease in our community. Public Health Nurses investigate and follow up on all reportable communicable disease and disease outbreaks in Sauk County. 

The communicable disease nurse can provide specific information enteric(gastrointestinal) illnesses, hepatitis, Lyme disease, sexually transmitted infections(STIs), tuberculosis testing and treatment, and vaccine preventable diseases.
