Landlord/Tenant Disputes

We do not get involved with tenant/landlord disputes, but we can provide education on health related housing issues. These issues can include, but are not limited to, pest control, solid waste, chemical exposure, air or water quality, or sewage exposure.

It is the responsibility of the tenant to know their rights. Please be sure to read your lease agreement carefully! The Tenant Resource Center webpage has information related to landlord and tenant issues. If you feel your landlord has not been responsive to your concerns, you can contact the Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection to submit a complaint or contact Legal Action of WI (LAW) for free legal advise to those who qualify.

In some cases, a local building inspector may be helpful in identifying substandard housing conditions.

Mobile home park operator-tenant relations are further regulated by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection. Please contact them for information regarding these complaints.
