Q: When do I need to pay for my water sample?

A: Sauk County developed a new system for paying the DNR water bill.  All facilities will be billed in January for that year's sampling.  The payment will be due no later than April 15th of that year or a late fee will be charged.

Q: I have nitrates above 10 but below 20, can I still operate?

A: Currently in the state of Wisconsin, facilities with a nitrate level between 10 and 20 can still serve the water provided they post a public notification to guests.  However, the DNR is giving operators 3 years from January 2020 to either drill a new well or provide treatment to lower the nitrate level below 10.  For more information, please contact us.
