Purpose

To authorize the acquisition of an additional ESRI ArcGIS Desktop license to be used for 911 data prep with grant funds

Background

BACKGROUND: Sauk County has entered into agreement with the State of Wisconsin to participate in the implementation of the State’s Next Gen 911 (NG911) network.  Through participation in this agreement, Sauk County has obtained a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs for the purpose of preparing our GIS address data for use with the NG911 platform.  This resolution is for the purchase of an additional ArcGIS Desktop License needed to facilitate the preparation of the County’s GIS data for use with the new platform.

Budget Status (Other/External Sources): 

95% to be funded with State grant funds with the balance from Land Records Modernization budget

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors that the acquisition of an ArcGIS Desktop Advanced Concurrent Use Perpetual License, at a cost of $11,781, be hereby approved; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Sauk County MIS Director is delegated the authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of Sauk County.  Approved for presentation to the County Board by the Land Resources and Environment Committee, this 21st day of March 2023.
