Resolution to Transfer a Part of CTH C to the Town of Sumpter

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (“WISDOT”), as part of the reconstruction of USH 12 in the Town of Sumpter, relocated the intersection of County Trunk Highway (“CTH”) C with United States Highway (USH) 12. This relocation left a portion of the original CTH C unused.  The Town and County have agreed that the unused portion of CTH C would be best used as a dead-end road maintained by the Town of Sumpter. (see, Attachment 1). Pursuant to Wisconsin state statutes s. 83.025 the County, Town, and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation need to approve the jurisdictional transfer.
