Call For Nominations – SCDC Business of the Year Awards Celebration -2014
The Sauk County Development Corporation (SCDC) has announced the Nomination and Application Period for the Large and Small Business and Non-profit Awards for 2014. The SCDC will host its Annual celebration on Wednesday, April 29th at the Baraboo Arts Banquet & Convention Center, at 323 Water Street in Baraboo.
The SCDC Business/Non-Profit of the Year Awards are presented to outstanding large (50 or more employees) and small (less than 50 employees) businesses and a non-profit organization whom have set a standard of excellence in business practices and contributions to their communities and Sauk County, for recognition at its Annual Sauk County Business of the Year Awards celebration.
Companies must be nominated to win. Self-nominations are also encouraged. To be eligible, a company must have been located in Sauk County for at least five years, and have a recent record of significant business accomplishment(s) and contributions to Sauk County and/or its communities. Individual companies, units of government, and organizations are encouraged to submit nominations.
These Awards serve to recognize the continuing importance of our business communities, manufacturing and service organizations to the Sauk County economy. We come together at this Awards celebration to illustrate the rich diversity of successful businesses and organizations we are blessed with throughout Sauk County.
The 2013 recipients were, Bekah Kate’s Kitchen, Kids and Home, located in Baraboo, and Culvers of Reedsburg, who were presented as the recipients of the Small and Large Business of the Year and the outstanding non-profit award was presented to Sauk Prairie Healthcare.
All nominated businesses will be evaluated on two major sets of criteria – recent significant business accomplishments and significant community contributions. The criteria differ slightly for profit and non- profit businesses. The winning businesses will be announced and recognized at the Awards Celebration on Wednesday, April 29, 2015.
Persons interested in nominating a company should contact SCDC to obtain a copy of the nomination form: go to www.scdc.com or call the SCDC at 355-2084 or e-mail gtemplin@scdc.com. Mail requests to SCDC, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI 53913, or pick up a nomination form at the SCDC office in the West Square Building (2nd floor), 505 Broadway in Baraboo. The deadline for receiving nominations in the SCDC office is April 10, 2015. You can mail the completed nomination form, drop it off at the office or fax it to 608-355-4440.
