SAUK COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

REGULAR MEETING:  SAUK COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

1.  Call to Order and Certify Compliance with Open Meeting Law: 6:06 P.M.

2.  Roll Call.  PRESENT:  (29) Czuprynko, Spencer, Eberl, Rego, Kinsman, Klitzke, Scanlon, Bychinski, Krueger, Flint, Curry, Gibson, Schell, Dorner, Reppen, Nelson, Hazard, Bushweiler, Stevens, Polivka, Riek, Peper, Gruber, Detter, Chrisler, Stehling, McAuliffe, Lohr and McCumber.  VIRTUAL:  (1) Deitrich.  ABSENT & EXCUSED:  (1) White Eagle.

3.  Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.  Invocation given by Supr. Deitrich.

4.  Adopt Amended Agenda.  MOTION (Detter/Klitzke) to adopt agenda, noting that Item 6 B. is presented by the Executive & Legislative Committee, not the Law Enforcement & Judiciary Committee.  Motion carried unanimously.

5.  Adopt the minutes.  MOTION (Reppen/Polivka) to adopt the minutes from the previous meeting. 

     Motion carried unanimously.

i.  Resolution 6-2022 Resolution To Commend Rita Strutz For Over 42 Years Of Service To The People Of Sauk County.

Resolution 10-2022 Initial Resolution Authorizing $50,000 General Obligation Bonds For The Construction And Equipping Of Highway Department Facilities.  MOTION (Krueger/Detter).

Resolution 15-2022 Resolution To Adopt The 2021-2026 Bluffview Community Park Master Property Plan As An Appendix To The 2020-2024 Sauk County Outdoor Recreation Plan.  MOTION (Krueger/Curry).  VOTE:  AYES: (29) Czuprynko, Spencer, Eberl, Rego, Kinsman, Klitzke, Scanlon, Bychinski, Krueger, Flint, Curry, Gibson, Schell, Dorner, Reppen, Nelson, Hazard, Bushweiler Stevens, Polivka, Riek, Peper, Gruber, Detter, Chrisler, Stehling, McAuliffe, Lohr and McCumber.  AYES (Virtual):  (1) Deitrich.  NAYS:  (0).  ABSENT & EXCUSED:  (1) White Eagle.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

18.  CLOSED SESSION

a.  The County Board entered into closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat. s. 19.85(1)(e)

     deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or

     conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require

     a closed session; and 19.85(1)(g)  Conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is

     rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to

     litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved. (Topic: Daniel Olson Claim & Equal Rights   

     Division Case No. CR202001277 / Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Charge No.

     26G202000853C ).

Supr. Deitrich left the meeting prior to closed session.  Closed session began at 7:20 P.M.

MOTION (Peper/Klitzke) to return to open session.  VOTE:  AYES: (29) Czuprynko, Spencer, Eberl, Rego, Kinsman, Klitzke, Scanlon, Bychinski, Krueger, Flint, Curry, Gibson, Schell, Reppen, Nelson, Hazard, Bushweiler, Stevens, Polivka, Riek, Peper, Gruber, Detter, Chrisler, Stehling, McAuliffe, Lohr and McCumber.  NAYS:  (0).  ABSENT & EXCUSED:  (2) Deitrich & White Eagle.  Motion carried unanimously.

MOTION (Krueger/Peper) to settle Equal Rights Division Case No. CR202001277/Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Charge No. 26G202000853C as discussed in closed session in an amount of $11,500.00.  Motion carried unanimously.  (Verbal vote)
