An intern would like to work with Adult Treatment Court and the SUDS Program for credits at their University. Attached is the contract they would like us to sign.

Review

This needs to be reviewed to make sure we can do what the contract is asking of Sauk County. 

 

Revisions suggested by Corporation Counsel:

1.  The County should be identified as the "Agency".

2.  Verify that the insurance paragraphs are acceptable in Section IV, Paragraph 8.

2.  The following paragraphs should be added as a separate section entitled "Miscellaneous"  :

County is a Governmental Entity.  University acknowledges and agrees that Agency, as a county, is a governmental entity subject to Wis. Stat. Ch. 59 and other applicable laws.  Notwithstanding any term of this Agreement, the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement are subject to any laws or restrictions applicable to the Agency and the services provided pursuant to this Agreement.  The Agency reserves the right to take any action it considers necessary to comply with any applicable laws and to protect the health, welfare and safety of the public, in Agency’s discretion, regardless of the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

Applicable Law.  This Agreement shall be construed and enforced in accordance with the internal laws of the State of Wisconsin.  The parties shall comply with all applicable laws, including but not limited to all statutes, laws, ordinances, regulations, and orders that apply to the performance of the services set forth in this Agreement.
