ICJR Update
-
The grant attorney through the DA’s office is no longer working on the grant. They look to close the application process by the end of this week and hope to have someone hired by March.Ali had gone to a training in Orlando and came back with ideas, one of them being Prosecutor outreach work. This was proposed to look like Prosecutor office hours in Hope House’s resource center. The proposal is still being worked on.LaBroscian’s position is rolling Alternative Response work with CPS into her job duties. She will work with the adults referred to HH for services under this project.

HH has an MOU with Adams and Marquette counties right now to implement the LAP.The DA’s in those counties use it in charging decisions and to connect to advocacy immediately.McClure noted that it mirrors the DV worksheet currently used by the county. It is on CJCC’s radar in Sauk County to potentially have it used here as well.Discussion was had as to how it works now with the 2 counties, i.e, phone calls, referrals, etc.LE has concerns over one more task and that they already forget some of the items as a result of the hectic nature of those calls and worries this could exacerbate that.It was suggested to have this be the first page of the worksheet and to remove all redundant questions from the existing packet and to put “Contact Hope House” larger and bolder than it is at this time.Spoentgen will speak with Calkins and address removing redundant questions and put together a potential draft.
Motion by Hoffman, second by Pichler to close session for case review. Motion carried at 11:34 A.M.
Motion by Hoffman, second by Stelter to reopen session. Motion carried and session re-opened at 11:50 A.M.
