- Intros/Agency updates
- BPD – Werner – fully staffed and seeing a slight decrease in DVs
- JDS – Hanson – applied for and waiting for grants.
- DOC – Rosciszewski – new to Vic Services – local DOC is short 4 agents.
- Hope House – Sathasivam – year-end budgeting, increased funds from grant for shelter. Covid restrictions lifted. VOCA gap likely to be filled, so hopefully no cut in funding.
- DA’s Office – hired 2 new attorneys; didn’t get federal funds; didn’t get increased funding from County board
- CPS – numbers still up; very high face-to-face contacts with individuals receiving services – one of few counties in the State to meet/exceed the 95% goal
- Discussion re: composition/existence of CJCC subgroups
- Note that there hasn’t been any movement w/ dissolution of the groups in CJCC. Strategic planning seems to be the topic of convo for tomorrow.
- Nothing needed in Vic services.
- Trends: Impact of Marsy’s Law
- Note that DA’s Office has had much increase in workload (specifically victim-witness), but have had no increased funding. Will take litigation or statute to clear up the issues and uncertainties in the law
- DVRT discussion
- Spoentgen – suggestion to revitalize the SART and DVRT. Let CMRT focus on child-related issued.
- Lethality Assessment Protocol – discussion of past-discussions re: LAP and trying to pick-up where we left off.
- Jaime Sathasivam to coordinate this group’s meeting
- SART – revitalize that group – start meeting again
- Another meeting is already scheduled – Jenna Greenwood to coordinate that meeting.
- Continued discussion of CAC
- Name – Sauk Forensic Alliance.
- Going to look to get specialized social workers, becoming specialists in forensic interviewing
- Training w/ speakers on-going.
- Next Meeting date: 1/12/22 @ 3P – Virtual
- Adjourn – motion by Rego – second by Werner – Adjourn at 3:47PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Rick Spoentgen
