Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 AM @ Chair Ashford.
Certification of Open Meeting Notice
Requirements of the Open Meeting Law were met.
Approval of Agenda
Motion made by Dietz, second by Stehling to approve the agenda. Motion carried. All in favor.
Approval of Minutes of Last Meeting
Motion made by Stehling, second by Andrews to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of August 10, 2016. Motion carried. All in favor.

ARTS Wisconsin support, Wisconsin magazine of history, International Crane Foundation, Sauk County Historical Society newsletter.
Review Budget and Approval of Vouchers:
UW Extension
Budget reviewed. Laminator replacement expense noted. Motion made by Spencer, second by Andrews to approve the August 2016 UW Extension invoices in the amount of $6,657.86. Motion carried. All in favor.
Arts & Culture
Budget reviewed. Second round of grants were reviewed at August meeting. Motion made by Andrews, second by Stehling to approve the August 2016 Arts & Culture invoices in the amount of $15,000.00. Motion carried. All in favor.
Departmental Updates
UW Extension
Baraboo River map reprint – John Exo presented new version of the Baraboo River Map which was created about 9 years ago; currently in process of updating and reprinting. Features include canoe/kayak access, length and conditions of the Baraboo River, etc. UWEX is in process of updating and reprinting; number printed will be depend on cost; cost will be a 2016 budget expense.
Sauk Co. 4-H youth appearance before September 20th Sauk County Board – Meg Sage
NextGen Communication – Committee members are receiving emails and appoint Jenny Erickson to be the point person for this communication.
Trauma Informed Care – October 6, 2016 has 60 reservations
Arts & Culture
Carry-forward $4,500 - return from Al Ringling, AHHP grant not completed; $4,500 will be a carry-forward into the 2017 budget.
Presentation of role and value of UW Extension Ag Agent position; George Koepp, Columbia County Agriculture Agent & Morgan McArthur, Sauk County Agriculture Agent
Postponed. Koepp will present at October 12, 2016 meeting.
Discussion/possible action: Revisit 2017 Sauk County Arts & Culture budget levy increase
Ashford revisited the Sauk County Historical Society Outside Agency request for 2017 of $15,000 which is a $4,000 levy increase. History 101 and History 201 presentations are being held around Sauk County communities. Finance will review at the end of September.
Discussion/possible action: Meg Sage request for permission to travel out-of-state to National 4-H Agents Conference in New Orleans, LA
Sage requested approval to travel out-of-state to attend the National 4-H Agents Conference in New Orleans, LA October 7-17, 2016. Motion made by Spencer, second by Stehling to approve the out-of-state travel to the New Orleans, LA conference. Motion carried. All in favor.

Morgan McArthur, CNRED & SCIL: CARE: Community Activated Recovery Enhancement program; Sauk County Institute of Leadership programming shared; public art projects
Meg Sage, 4-H Youth Dev. Agent: Calendar of events and programming shared; fair duties are being transferred the fair board; outline of timeframe discussed
Discussion/possible action: Video-taping of future UW Extension, Arts & Culture Committee meetings
Motion made by Dietz, second by Andrews to approve holding and taping of future meetings in Room 213 if access to room is available. Motion carried. All in favor.

The next Regular meeting will be Wednesday, OCTOBER 12, 2016, held in Room 213 of the West Square Building @ 9:00 AM
