Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 AM by Chair Ashford.
Certification of Open Meeting Notice
Requirements of the Open Meeting Law were met.
Approval of Agenda
Motion made by Dietz, second by Stehling to approve the agenda. Motion carried. All in favor.
Approval of Minutes of Last Meeting
Motion made by Hambrecht, second by Stehling to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of March 9, 2016. Motion carried. All in favor.
Public Comment:
Anderson suggested the committee consider if they want to create a proposal regarding the UW Extension restructuring. Item will be added to May agenda.
Communications:
Communications from Wisconsin Humanities Council, Rivers Arts, Inc., Sauk Prairie Theatre Guild, and Circus World. Hambrecht shared UW Wisconsin POWWOW Event.
Review Budget and Approval of Vouchers:
UW Extension
Drinking water expense are included in March invoices of $12,763. Motion was made by Stehling, second by Dietz to approve the March 2016 UW Extension invoices in the amount of $15,182.23. Motion carried. All in favor.
Arts & Culture
All AHHP grants have been paid with the exception of Community Alliance Baraboo (CAB). Motion was made by Stehling, second by Hambrecht to approve the March, 2016 UW Extension invoices in the amount of $38,361. Motion carried. All in favor.

Nagelkerk was contacted by K. Schauf regarding poverty education materials used in Sauk County.Handouts shared.
Arts & Culture

Ashford would like a 2nd round of AHHP grants to be offered in August.
Discussion and possible action, Community Alliance Baraboo (CAB) Theater changes to budget and timeline of AHHP grant
Erica Cochrane updated committee on CAB budget and timeline. One in-kind grant was not received which changed the budget and project timeline. Project will be completed by end of December 2016 and budget was adjusted. Motion was made by Stehling, second by Hambrecht to approve the new budget and timeline of Community Alliance Baraboo (CAB) Theatre grant in the amount of $5,000. Motion carried. All in favor.
Discussion and possible action, nEXT Generation project work group structure and possible nomination
Ashford finds the document complicated. Committee members should notify Nagelkerk if interested in serving on the work group; no interest at this time. John Exo is participating on the ANRE work group. May agenda item to consider proposal.
Agents’ Reports
Melissa Beernink, WNEP: Nutrition lessons were taught around Sauk County in schools that meet eligibility; the position reduces to 50% time during the summer and the educational lessons will be taught at Baraboo Food Pantry, Forward Services, WIC, Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program.
Phyllis Both, Horticulture: Pollinators project is main focus for Master Gardener’s. Many projects and native bee planting will consume the summer months. Huber inmates will help with Pioneer Log Village project.
Consideration of Applications for Good Idea Grants
Sauk Prairie School District Art Teachers - Motion was made by Peterson, second by Hambrecht to approve the Sauk Prairie School District Art Teachers good idea grant in the amount of $500. Motion carried. All in favor.
International Crane Foundation - Motion was made by Peterson, second by Hambrecht to approve the ICF – Mr. Cully Shelton good idea grant in the amount of $500. Motion carried. All in favor.
Baraboo Range Preservation Assoc. - Motion was made by Stehling, second by Dietz to approve the BRPA good idea grant in the amount of $500. Motion carried. All in favor.
Merrimac Community Charter School - Motion was made by Stehling, second by Hambrecht to approve the Merrimac Community Charter School good idea grant in the amount of $300. Motion carried. All in favor.
Reedsburg Old Settlers - Motion was made by Stehling, second by Peterson to approve the Reedsburg Old Settlers good idea grant in the amount of $500. Motion carried. All in favor.
