Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 9:00AM by Chair Ashford.
Certification of Open Meeting Notice
Requirements of the Open Meeting Law were met.
Approval of Agenda
Motion made by Dietz, second by Smoke to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes of Last Meeting
Motion made by Dietz, second by Detter to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of
May 15, 2013. Motion carried.

Communications
- Nagelkerk shared correspondence from Baraboo Public Library and Alice in Dairyland recipient
Review 2013 Budget and Approval of Vouchers
UW Extension: Motion was made by Smoke, second by Stehling to approve the vouchers for the month of May in the amount of $2396.85. Motion carried.
Arts & Culture: Motion was made by Stehling, second by Smoke to approve the vouchers for the month of May in the amount of $600. Motion carried.
UW Extension, Arts & Culture Updates/Reports
- June is Dairy Month – June 18th from 5-6PM UW Extension will host and treat Culvers custard to Sauk County Board Supervisors prior to their regular meeting.
Discussion, possible action: 2012 Arts & Culture Budget-carry forward for 2013 Farm Art D-Tour/Fermentation Fest
Motion was made by Stehling, second by Smoke to approve request from the Wormfarm Institute for the cash match of the NEA grant from the 2012 Arts & Culture budget carry-forward in the amount of $2751 for 2013 Farm Art D-Tour/Ferm Fest. Motion carried.
Discussion, possible action: Evaluation and ecomonic impact survey of Fall Art Tour
Considering on-line survey in the fall; most cost effective. Anderson and Erickson will finalize and update committee at the July meeting. No action.
UW Extension, Arts & Culture program and priorities review for 2014 budget:
Committee recommended inclusion of a statement clarifying which UWEX priorities and programs/functions are required by the state and which are county programs. Also, report should differentiate between yearly programs and what programs are new or where changes have been made; consider bold text. Committee members will review and report at the July meeting. Also, agents will continue to discuss their programming to keep committee informed.
Action item: Motion to accept the resignation of Christian Malsatzki, 4-H Youth Dev. Agent and authorize UWEX to proceed with hiring
Malsatzki’s last day will be August 2, 2013; he accepted a position at University of South Florida. Motion was made by Detter, second by Smoke to approve the resignation of Malsatzki and authorize UW Extension to proceed with hiring of 4-H/Youth Development Agent. Committee would also like to provide a letter of commendation. Motion carried.

Consideration of Applications for Good Idea Grants
Baraboo High School (Beth Crook) - requested $500 to help fund “Souper Bowls” event. Send letter stating project was funded for 3 years; we are only a start-up fund and event needs to become self-sustaining; project also generating funds for another agency. Motion made by Detter, second by Stehling to deny funding $500 to the Baraboo High School. Motion carried.
