Minutes of the Regular Meeting
January 9, 2013

Members present: Judy Ashford, Joan Smoke, John Dietz, Donna Stehling, Al Anderson
Members absent: Mark Smooth Detter
Guests Present: Matt Hanson

Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 AM by Chair Ashford.

Certification of Open Meeting Notice
Requirements of the Open Meeting Law were met.

Approval of Agenda
Motion made by Smoke, second by Stehling to approve the agenda. Motion carried.

Approval of Minutes of Last Meeting
Motion made by Stehling, second by Smoke to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of December 12, 2012. Motion carried.

Public Comment
None

Communications
o New Sauk Co. Fair Board President is Scott Zirzow, replacing George Koepp

Review 2012 Budget and Approval of Vouchers
UW Extension: Budget reviewed. Motion was made by Stehling, second by Smoke to approve the vouchers for the months of December in the amount of $7,504.07 and January 2013 in the amount of $20,260. Motion carried.
Arts & Culture: No vouchers.


UW Extension, Arts & Culture Updates/Reports
o Introduction of Angela Zeihen, WNEP educator (ad hoc position from January 7, 2013 until June)

UW Extension Staff – 2012 Annual Report
o 2012 review of all program areas; Matt Hanson, Southwest Regional Director in attendance


ACTION ITEM: 2013 UWEX Agent Contracts
Motion was made by Smoke, second by Dietz to approve the renewal of UWEX agent contracts for 2013. Motion carried.


Consideration of Applications for Good Idea Grants
Creative Alliance of Baraboo Theatre- requested $500 to help fund CAB Theatre’s Inaugural Short Play Writing Competition. Motion made by Stehling, second by Smoke to approve funding $500 to the CAB Theatre. Motion carried.
