Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 AM by Chair Ashford.
Certification of Open Meeting Notice
Requirements of the Open Meeting Law were met.
Approval of Agenda
Motion made by Zowin, second by Nobs to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes of Last Meeting
Motion made by Zowin, second by Wiese to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of February 24, 2011. Motion carried.

Communications
None.
Review Budget and Approval of Vouchers
UW Extension: A motion was made by Nobs, second by Wiese to approve the vouchers for the month of February in the amount of $67,392.98. Motion carried.
Budget: 2010 carry forward in the amount of $23,013
Arts & Culture: A motion was made by Zowin, second by Nobs to approve the vouchers for the month of February in the amount of $1,025.85. Motion carried.
Budget: 2010 carry forward in the amount of $10,237
Agents Monthly Review
-Jenni Walsh, 4H Youth Development Agent: 4-H is preparing for county fair; Speaking & Drama Festival was held Friday, March 18 and Music & Movement will be in April. Danielle Schroth, summer intern will join us again this summer as well. USDA grant was received which will give youth the opportunity to research projects in their community. This is a two year grant for $2500. The Sauk Prairie area was chosen for this service learning grant.
-Danielle Varney and Lori Baumgart, WNEP: Food Sense Newsletter was distributed. Educational displays have been placed at the Food Pantries based on needs assessment; some recipes are in Spanish.
Discussion/Action on possible funding of 2011 AHHP Grants:
Humanities & Historic Preservation Grant evaluation panel minutes of March 11, 2011 special meeting were reviewed. A motion was made by Zowin, second by Stehling to approve the grants in total of $17,000 as recommended by panel. Motion carried.
Arts Grant evaluation panel minutes the March 9, 2011 special meeting were reviewed.
The following changes were made by the committee:
-Al Ringling Theatre Friends – leave as is
-American Players Theatre-restore amount granted to $3,000
-CAL Center Presents, Inc. – leave as is
-International Clown Hall of Fame – decrease amount to $2,500
-Reedsburg Players – leave as is
-River Arts, Inc. – Defer
-Sauk County Honors Music Project- Change to $2,200; Defer
-Sauk Prairie Recreation Dept.- leave as is
-UW Baraboo/Sauk County Campus-leave as is
-Village of Sauk City- Defer
-Wormfarm Institute-leave as is
A motion was made by Wiese, second by Stehling to approve the grants as determined by the committee. Motion carried.

Discussion/Action to change April meeting date due to conflict of Midterm Assessment meeting
Committee changed meeting date to April 25, 2011.
Consideration of Applications for Good Idea Grants
1. Monica Jagel – Requested $500 to fund project “A Rural Alphabet.” A motion was made by Nobs, second by Stehling to Deny the Good Idea Grant for $500 to artist, Monica Jagel. Motion carried.
