Call to Order

The meeting was called to order by Chair Hambrecht.

Certification of Open Meeting Notice

Requirements of the Open Meeting Law met. 

Adopt Agenda

Motion made by McAuliffe, second by Newport to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried.  All in favor.

Adopt Minutes of Previous Meeting

Motion made by Berlin, second by McAuliffe to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 3, 2019.  Motion carried.  All in favor.

Public Comment: None

UW EXTENSION

Communications:  Arts & Culture correspondence shared. Newport attending Home Communication Education event.

Review Budget and approval of Vouchers

UW Extension:  Budget reviewed. 

Motion made by Hazard, second by Berlin to approve the April 2019 Extension invoices in the amount of $71,629.26 the Arts invoices in the amount of $25,778.99 for the total amount of $97,408.25.  Motion carried. All in favor.

Discussion and consideration of 2020 budget projections

Hoffman discussed 2020 budget projections focused on building Extension staff; will continue to discuss.  Space needs study results discussed. Talking points to committee.

Discussion and possible approval of Annual FoodWIse County Letter agreement for the period of October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020

Motion made by McAuliffe, second by Berlin to approve the Annual FoodWIse County letter agreement for the period of 10/1/19 to 10/30/20.  Motion carried.  All in favor.

Departmental Updates – Area Director

      a. Monthly Committee Staff Report thru the end of April shared.

Educator reports: 

Amanda Coorough, Human Dev. and Relationships Educator:  FIKA – informal, parenting soft skills programming, Raising a Thinking Child (ages 4-7), Strengthening Families and e-parenting curriculum options
Meg Sage, 4-H & Youth Dev. Educator:  Quarterly report of programming; skillathons, curriculum; Space Camp

ARTS & CULTURE

Review Budget and Approval of Vouchers:

Arts & Culture:  Motion made by Hazard, second by Berlin to approve the April 2019 Extension invoices in the amount of $71,629.26 and the Arts invoices in the amount of $22,778.99 for the total amount of $97,408.25.  Motion carried. All in favor.

Departmental Updates:

AHHP grants paid out
Wisconsin Arts Board matching grant approved

 

Discussion and possible approval of amendments made to the 2019 AHHP grant recipient, BREATHE, (Annual Harvest Hoedown project)        

Motion made by McAuliffe, second by Hazard to approve the amendments to the 2019 BREATHE AHHP grant proposal.  Motion carried.  All in favor.

Discussion, possible approval of Good Idea Grants: 

CAL Center Presents, Inc.

Motion made Berlin, second by McAuliffe to approve the CAL Center good idea grant application for the amount of $500.  Motion carried. All in favor. 

Sauk County Historical Society

Motion made Hazard, second by McAuliffe to approve the SCHS good idea grant application for the amount of $500.  Motion carried. All in favor.
