Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 PM by Chair Ashford.
Certification of Open Meeting Notice
Requirements of the Open Meeting Law were met.
Approval of Agenda Amended
Motion made by Tollaksen, second by Wiese to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes of Last Meeting
Motion made by Wiese, second by Tollaksen to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of January 29, 2010. Motion carried.
Public Comment
Paul Wolter reported on the Historical Preservation Photo Contest. He would like the money amounts for first, second and third place clarified.
The amounts are as follows: First Place- $100.00, Second - $75.00 and Third - $50.00
Communications
Sue Nagelkerk acknowledged that our committee has renewed membership in the Arts Wisconsin Film Festival. The YEPS (Youth Environmental Project of Sauk County) is involved in an environmental film festival along with others in planning this great event.
Judy Ashford reported communication from Mikki Maddox, Secretary and member of Baraboo Theatre Guild regarding an upcoming meeting in March at Oakwood Place.
SAUK COUNTY UW EXTENSION
Monthly Report/Review and Approval of Vouchers (UW Extension)
A motion was made by Tollaksen, second by Stehling to approve the vouchers for the month of December in the amount of $212.18 and January in the amount of $2,692.40. Motion carried.
Agent Monthly Reports
Sue Nagelkerk, Family Living Educator reported. She informed the committee about Family Impact Seminars which will be implemented to correspond with the Sauk County Comprehensive Plan. Members were invited to join a committee to choose topics which will meet one (1) time a year.
Amendment to Extension Contract: On hold. Sue will report back to committee when clarified.
New 2010 Farm Connect Guide was distributed.
Sandy Miskowiak-Larsen, 4-H Youth Development Advisor reported on the Alice in Dairyland scholarship recipients. Committee reviewed applications. Motion was made by Wiese, second by Tollaksen to select Devin Schafer for the $500.00 scholarship recipient. Motion carried.
Sandy also reported they have Summer Intern applications. The committee decided upon March 12, 2010 from 1:00 – 3:30 PM to review applicants.
ARTS & CULTURE

None.
Update for Arts, Humanities & Historical Preservation Grants
Sue Nagelkerk reported the panel will meet March 15, 2010 to make decisions on grants.
Submission of Final Report 2009 - Sue Nagelkerk reported that grant awards reached 70,407 people. In the process of regranting.
Discussion of Budget Management
Policy to encumber committed funds - Judy Ashford proposed the need to encumber committed funds for budgeting purposes. A Purchase Order will be issued to encumber funds.
Consideration of Programs and Priorities
Non-committee County Board Supervisors were invited to attend the February meeting and allowed to participate in the discussion.
