Minutes for May 5, 2010 TCC meeting held n Room 213 of the West Square Building, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI.

Attending: Art Carlson, Peter Murray, Ralph Soeldner, Darwin Nelson, Alan Wildman, Theron Hill, Trish Vandre, Phyllis Johnson, Janet Pearson, and Ashley Nedeau-Owen.

Absent: Sue Hebel, Jim Brown, Betty Durst, Natalie Wilmot, Sandra Roemer-Rutter, Michael Coleman and Dale Meyer.

Called to order by Carlson at 10:30 AM in compliance with Open Meeting Law.

Hill moved, seconded by Soeldner to adopt agenda, subsequently adopted unanimously.

Hill moved and Nelson seconded adoption of prior meeting minutes. Murray offered correction and corrected minutes adopted unanimously.

Johnson offered public comment regarding fees for ADRC’s volunteer escort service. $0.30/mile is too high for some individuals for whom service is best solution yet cost excludes them. Could a sliding fee scale be implemented?

Carlson introduced letter from Tommy Lee Bychinski airing concerns about The Bus and the loss (13 months ago) of the once a week grocery bus in Reedsburg.

Sauk County transportation program updates were provided.

Board discussed grant funding and prioritized some known transportation needs:
• Existing Servcies
• Feeder Routes, esp. Merrimac and Spring Green
• Planning
• Travel Training and Community Education
• Bus Stops/Travel Kiosks, Shelters or Benches and Signs

Discussed Youth in Transition briefly and then the Complete Streets Movement at length.

Nelson moved to adjourn, Hill & Wildman seconded, unanimously adjourned at 11:55
