MINUTES

 

Transportation Coordination Committee

Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 10:00 A.M.

Basement Conference Room B24, West Square Building, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI 5391

 

Members Present:  Brown, Carlson, Ellington, Hause, Klepper, Rudolph,Schenck, Waddell

Members Absent:   Moore (excused), Demers (excused), Spencer (excused), Brattsett (excused), Wildman (excused), Running, Ward

County Personnel:  Blodgett, Kitzinger

Others Present: 

 

1) Blodgett requested Hause call the meeting to order at 10:30 and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.

 

2)  Selection of presiding officer:  Blodgett requested Hause preside over the meeting.  All agreed and Hause presided over the remainder of the meeting.

 

3) MOTION (Ellington/Rudolph) to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried unanimously and agenda adopted.

 

4) MOTION (Ellington/Rudolph) to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of May 29, 2018.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

5) Public Comment:  None

 

6) Communications: 

Blodgett referenced a letter received from Vice-Chair Demers resigning from this committee.

 

7) Transportation Updates: 

                a) Ridership: Blodgett reported on the increase in volunteer driver escort and bus trips.  In the future, there may be a request to purchase a 30 passenger bus to ease the burden of having all bus drivers out on shopping and funday trips.  Discussion followed no action taken. 

                b) Program overview: No report.

                c) Information on transportation coordinator position: Blodgett reported the position will be posted again and interviews should start mid-late September.

 

8) Next meeting date and time: Tuesday, November 27, 2018 10:30a.m.  (Blodgett requested moving to 10:30 due to ADRC Advisory Committee covering so many items and running over into this meeting.)

 

9) MOTION (Carlson/Ellington) to adjourn until Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 10:30a.m.  Motion carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 10:44 a.m.
