Sauk County Library Board Meeting Tuesday, July 22, 2025
Present: Glen Slaats, Joan Fordham, Carolyn Kotchi-Aslaksen, Shaun Harris, Linda Kettner, Terry Slack, Tut Gramling

- Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Glen Slaats at 2:00 PM.
1.1 - Roll Call of Members: 7 members present
1.2 - Adoption of Agenda: Slack moved to adopt the agenda, seconded by Harris. Motion carried.
1.3 - Approval of the minutes of the May 27, 2025, meeting: Kotchi- Aslaksen moved to approve the minutes of the May 27, 2025, meeting, seconded by Harris. Motion carried.
1.4 - Verification of compliance with the open meetings law: Jessica Bergin certified compliance with the Open Meetings Law.
- Public Comments: Jessica Bergin announced that she is leaving the Baraboo Library at the beginning of September. This will be her last meeting with us.
- New Business
3.1 - Consider approval of Bylaws update to include remote meeting participation: Kettner moved to approve the bylaws update as presented, seconded by Fordham. Motion carried
3.2 - Consider approval of 2025 Budget request – Jessica Bergin: Slack moved to advance the 2026 budget as presented to the County Board, seconded by Kettner. Motion carried.
- Reports/Information Items
- - Report on IMLS funding and local impacts – Jessica Bergin: Jessica reported that there was an update from the DPI on federal funding. The grants awarded for 2025 will be fully funded. The DPI is reorganizing to represent new legal requirements. The Wisconsin State Budget included some library funding.

5. Adjournment: Harris moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Kotchi- Aslaksen. Motion carried.
