Sauk County Library Board Meeting
Tuesday, January 23, 2024
Carnegie-Schadde Memorial Public Library, Baraboo

Present:  Joan Fordham, Linda Kettner, Carolyne Kotchi-Aslaksen, Terry Slack, Joel Chrisler, Mike Anderson, Glenn Slaats*

Others: Becky Anderson (RKS), Jessica Bergin (BAR), Tim Drexler (SCLS), Natalie Jones (LAV), Sue Ann Kucher (REE), Lisa Thomas (SKC), Lauren White (PDS)*, Emily Whitmore (SGR)*,

*Attended remotely

  1. Joan Fordham called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM.  Sue Ann Kucher verified compliance with the Wisconsin Open Meeting Law.
  2. Adoption of Agenda:  Chrisler moved to adopt the agenda, seconded by Slack.  Motion carried.
  3. Approval of the minutes of the November 28, 2023, meeting:  Kotchi-Aslaksen moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Kettner.  Motion carried.
  4. Public Comments:  none
  5. SCLS Report – Tamara Ramski:  The report was given by Tim Drexler and is on file.
  6. Data Service Presentation – Tim Drexler, SCLS:  on file
  7. Librarians’ Reports – Directors in attendance:  on file
  8. Election of Officers:  Chrisler nominated Joan Fordham as chair.  Kettner nominated Glen Slaats as vice-chair.  Kotchi-Aslaksen nominated Linda Kettner as secretary.  Kettner moved to accept the slate of officers, seconded by Chrisler.  Motion carried.
  9. Review Library Service Plan:  Board members and librarians were asked to review this document.  We will discuss it at our May meeting.
  10. Consider Subcommittee for Service Plan Update:  This committee will be appointed at our May meeting.
  11. Adjournment:  Slack moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Kotchi-Aslaksen.  Motion carried.
