SAUK COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
PROPERTY AND INSURANCE COMMITTEE MEETING
July 08, 2013
         Approved Minutes

Members Present:  Virgil Hartje, David Riek, John Miller, Scott VonAsten, George Johnson
Others Present:  Timothy Stieve, Carl Gruber, Kathy Schauf, Elizabeth Geoghegan, Mike Palm, Ed Geick,
Tom Pinion, Steve Hanson, Ruth Dawson, Marty Krueger

1. Meeting called to order by Riek at 3:30 p.m. Compliance with Open Meeting Law was met.

2.  Adopt Agenda:  Motion by Miller, 2nd by Johnson to adopt Agenda with the amending of moving up item #9 to #3.  Motion Carried.

3. Next meeting date:  Regular meeting was set for August 06, 2013 at 3:30 p.m.

4. Adopt draft minutes of June 04, 2013 meeting.  Motion by Hartje, 2nd by Johnson to adopt the minutes. Carried

5. Public comment:  None.

6.   Communications: None.

   7. Business Items:
a. Treasurer’s Report – No Report
b. Discussion of 1208 Oak Street property with City of Baraboo officials. Todd Liebman was present and
  advised the Committee that they should table any action until after a July 18th hearing at which the estate
  will be closed and the property will most likely escheat to the State of Wisconsin.  Motion by Hartje, 2nd
  by Johnson to table this item.  Carried
c. Discussion of Building Security issues – Tim reviewed the survey results to date, deadline for
  completing the survey is July 15,  2013.  Discussion followed.  Tim will look at additional ways to evaluate
  the data plus potentially look at ways to specifically address areas such as reception areas.

  8. Departmental Updates - Risk Management (Carl Gruber)
a. Monthly Report – Carl reviewed his monthly report. Motion by VonAsten, 2nd by Miller to approve the
monthly report. Carried.
b. Review and Approval of Deductibles.  Motion by Johnson, 2nd by Miller to approve the  deductibles.   Carried.

Departmental Updates – Tim Stieve
a. Monthly Report – Tim reviewed his monthly report.
b. Tim reviewed the 2013 Budget Program and CIP items with the Committee.  No specific changes made.
c. Review and Approval of vouchers.  Motion by Hartje , 2nd by Johnson to approve the vouchers.  Motion Carried.

9. Public comment: None.

10.  Adjourn:  Motion by Johnson, 2nd by VonAsten to adjourn. Motion Carried.
